ArchLit is a database for prehistory and neighbouring disciplines. It is free accessable with no comercial intension. Up til now it contains more then 16.000 datasets from several disciplines such as roman and greek history, medieval history, history of art, ethnology and premiously prehistory. The datasets are provided with keywords and frequently with standing-place information. ArchLit consists of two parts, one database (ArchLit) is used as surface/shell, the other (ArchLitD) contains the literature datasets. You need both to run ArchLit.

ArchLit offers you: - The possibility to create your own datasets with as many keywords and standing-place links as you want. You also can complete existing datasets. - Effective searching-functions. You can find datasets by looking after keywords, you can also search for a special string or create a detailed search made out of several inputs in different fields. - The possibility to replace, save, edit or/and print the results of your search. The output will contain standing-place links if written during the input. This enables you to find the search-result straight in your library. - You can mark special datasets with a string in order to get them later as well formatted Rich-Text-Output (RTF). This output could serve as appendix on your own Word-files. - Last but not least you can also change your datasets with other users of ArchLit. With several automatic and manual options duplicates will be avoided during this action. |
